Assignment 5 allowed me to gain a lot of skills, particularly when it comes to navigating MS PowerPoint. Prior to this assignment, I had little experience with this platform. This assignment taught me that you gain add different sounds, actions, and animations to your slides to make them more interactive and interesting. I really enjoyed this assignment; I think that the skills I learned from it will help me a lot in my future as a teacher. The design elements were very fun to brainstorm and execute. There were not any aspects of the assignment I did not like! If I was to do this assignment again, I would probably choose a more comprehensive theme to make it more even throughout when it comes to graphics.

As a future kindergarten teacher, I think that I will use data collection tools to gain feedback from parents on their child's behavior at home, things they want me to incorporate in the classroom, or other questions I have regarding my class in which answers would be best anonymous. Also, if simple enough, I do think students could use surveys as well for different topics in class. I think that using surveys would allow me to create an inclusive classroom where all needs and opinions are attended to. Regularly collecting this data and comparing it to past results will allow me to gauge how my class is developing and learning throughout the year.

A technology-related skill I would like to learn next is how to navigate Canva to optimize user friendliness. I currently use Canva for a lot of my classes, but I primarily use templates and I want to learn more about its functions and how I can use it in my field particularly. A SMART goal for this skill could be "By the end of this month, I will create 4 classroom resources by working at least once a week in Canva." To accomplish this goal, I would find tutorials online, experiment with different design features, and try not to utilize templates to learn these skills myself.
